What coaching can help with
Coaching is future-focused, collaborative, and action-oriented. Depending on your goals, our work may include:
- Clarifying goals, values, and priorities
- Identifying patterns or obstacles that may be getting in the way
- Strengthening communication and relationship skills
- Building confidence, resilience, and personal accountability
- Navigating life, relationship, career, or leadership transitions
- Developing practical strategies for stress and work-life balance
- Improving follow-through, habits, and decision-making
- Creating realistic plans for meaningful change
Relationship coaching may also help individuals or couples improve communication, strengthen connection, clarify expectations, work through recurring disagreements, and develop healthier ways of approaching their relationship.
Coaching is not therapy
True Connections does not provide psychotherapy, mental health counseling, clinical assessment, psychological testing, diagnosis, or treatment of mental health disorders.
Services are not intended to diagnose or treat conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, substance use disorders, or other psychiatric or psychological conditions.
True Connections also does not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health services.
If your needs appear to fall outside the appropriate scope of coaching, we will discuss that openly. When appropriate, you may be encouraged to seek support from a licensed mental health professional, physician, or another qualified provider. Coaching can sometimes occur alongside therapy when the services have clearly different purposes and roles.
Professional background and role
Brom’s education and experience in counseling contribute to his understanding of human behavior, relationships, communication, and the process of change.
Within True Connections, however, services are provided solely in the role of life coach and consultant. A coaching or consulting relationship does not establish a therapist-client, counselor-client, or other licensed healthcare provider relationship.
This distinction allows prior knowledge and experience to inform the work while maintaining clear boundaries around the services being provided.
Relationship and intimacy coaching
Relationship and intimacy coaching focuses on areas such as communication, connection, confidence, expectations, boundaries, shared goals, and practical relationship skills.
These services are educational and coaching-focused. They are not couples therapy, marriage and family therapy, or clinical treatment.
When concerns require clinical assessment, treatment, specialized trauma care, or a level of support beyond the scope of coaching, an appropriate licensed professional may be recommended.
Business consulting
Consulting services may include strategic planning, organizational development, leadership support, communication, decision-making, process improvement, project development, and practical implementation.
True Connections may help clients think through business decisions and organize information, but consulting services do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other regulated professional advice.
When a decision requires specialized expertise, clients are encouraged to consult an appropriately licensed attorney, CPA, financial professional, or other qualified specialist.
Privacy and confidentiality
Personal and business information shared with True Connections is treated with care and discretion and handled according to applicable privacy practices and the client service agreement.
Because coaching and consulting are not healthcare services, however, laws and professional privileges that apply specifically to psychotherapy or other licensed healthcare relationships may not apply in the same way to coaching and consulting.
Additional information regarding privacy, records, electronic communication, and the limits of confidentiality is provided during onboarding.
Choosing the right kind of support
Coaching works best when the primary goal is growth, clarity, skill-building, decision-making, accountability, or forward movement.
Clinical treatment may be more appropriate when the primary need involves diagnosis, treatment of a mental health disorder, significant psychological distress, trauma treatment, crisis intervention, or another concern requiring licensed healthcare services.
If you are unsure which kind of support you need, that is okay. The discovery call provides an opportunity to talk about what you are looking for and determine whether True Connections is an appropriate fit.
